Check out the four mini-albums I shared with my students during my in-person "Gal"entine class. The one for my daughter is totally complete, and the others are in varying stages of production. I thought having multiple samples to review would be helpful as you decide how you might like your book to look for that special woman in your life.

In my class last weekend, I used this album as a guide for my students to follow along in making their own mini-albums. While we all have different papers and accent cards, we share the sacks, doilies, and Carpe Diem cut-apart card sheet. This album makes full use of those shared items, so students could see how they might put together their own books. I purposefully left out photos and journaling because I know everyone will have her own plan for that.
I do plan to finish this album at some point but not as a gift. My mother is no longer living, and I think I might like to make this book about a series of life lessons I learned from her; I think that goes very well with the title that I chose for the book and the combinations of patterns and colors I used. I'll be sure and post my finished album once it's complete, but it's not on my short-term to-do list. ;)

This next sample set is an album that I began making for myself; it highlights my friends that either joined me or that I met up with while traveling through Europe this summer. I haven't added the journaling yet, but I'm pretty happy with the placement of the photos and large embellishments. I'm sure I'll go back and add a few more small decorative items once I've finished writing what I want to say for each spread.
